I love the asymmetrical garlands I’ve been seeing in catalogues, but I didn’t want to pay the high price tag for them. Luckily, thanks to the wreath making workshop I go to every year, I knew how to do it on the cheap.
The moment we walked over the threshold of what would become our home, I had a dueling sense of disappointment and a strange feeling of familiarity, like I had been here before.
I have small windows of time to cook or bake. Sometimes peeling isn’t an option (too time consuming). So here are my favorite recipes to use at least some of my farm fresh apples.
I love pumpkin bakery. When the weather turns cooler and the leaves start changing, I crave the spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom. Add in tart apple and I’m ready to hide my waistline with oversized sweaters.

It’s my favorite part about Christmas.” As much as I’d love to think this has everything to do with the mother-daughter bonding, […]
Year after year, we all start out by griping “I don’t know what I’m doing.” But within an hour, the group of about 30 or 40 people come out with gorgeous creations, no two the same. This creativity is just part of the hook. Once you put a fresh, fragrant work of art on your front door or over your fireplace, you will never go faux again.
Soup in the spring seems like a contradiction. But, especially when you live North like I do, chilly spring days still happen. But, I promise you, the combination of lemon with tahini and vegetables won’t make you feel like autumn. I stumbled on the idea of putting tahini in soup when I was surfing Pinterest. […]
